“How can I help others?”
When my clients and students find their own agency, self-compassion, and wellbeing, I see their fervent desire to help others do the same. The truth is that the vast majority of people don’t know about this revolutionary approach to mind-body healing or have the means to pursue it.
Inspired by our mutual commitment to expand the circle of healing, I created a financial aid fund for my online course ‘Be Your Own Medicine,’ which awards partial scholarships to those who cannot afford the full tuition.
dear friends,
We heal the world one person at a time.
After recovering from 13 years of grueling Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, I felt a calling to help others reclaim their own resilience. While we all have the innate capacity to heal, we need the right knowledge, practices, and support.
I understand the toll that chronic symptoms take on our finances. It’s my dream that everyone suffering from chronic pain, fatigue, and other neuroplastic symptoms has the opportunity to recover.
I created my online course ‘Be Your Own Medicine’ with all the knowledge and practices I wish everyone could have! It’s less expensive than 1:1 coaching and often more effective. It’s my heart’s offering, born of several decades of healing and study.
Still, not everyone can afford the tuition. If you feel called to donate to the ‘Be Your Own Medicine’ Scholarship Fund, it would be my honor to steward your investment in our collective healing.
With love and gratitude,
- Be Your Own Medicine 2022, Scholarship Recipient
Within days of opening registration, we received applications from women and men across the globe whose stories, hardships, and unwavering commitment to their recovery had us in tears.
While we’ve priced the course at the lowest possible rate to cover our operating expenses, we know this amount is out of reach for some.
We currently offer partial scholarships to select applicants whose circumstances make enrolling in the course at full-price untenable. We screen applicants for their need and dedication to mind-body healing. All donations go towards their course tuition.
Contributions will help fund scholarship recipients, who have blown us away with their heartfelt sincerity and genuine need. Learn more about the ‘Be Your Own Medicine’ course here, and reach out to course@rebeccatolin.com with questions.

Who Does My Donation Help?
Our scholarship applicants are:
Survivors. They have survived domestic abuse, divorce, miscarriage, loss and other trauma.
Caretakers. They are caring for family members with cancer, autism, blindness, or other disabilities. Their own chronic symptoms make it harder to be the devoted parents, daughters, sons, partners, siblings and friends they wish to be.
Healing. They lack regular income, due to disabling symptoms. Investing in their education is investing in their ability to become financially self-sufficient!
Global. Applicants hail from the US, Canada, Europe, the UK, North Africa, and Australia. Different exchange rates and economies can take a bigger financial toll.
Hard-working. They all have experience with this mind-body approach, called TMS by John Sarno, and have made some progress through books, videos and podcasts. They demonstrate a commitment to healing but need additional tools, guidance, and community support. We are confident that ‘Be Your Own Medicine’ will help them at this point in their journey.
Resilient. They live with chronic fatigue, chronic pain, brain fog, long Covid, ME/CFS and post-viral symptoms, fibromyalgia, insomnia, vertigo and dizziness, IBS, bladder frequency, TMJ, anxiety and depression, food intolerances, and debilitating back pain, neck pain, hip pain, hand pain, foot pain, and pelvic pain, among other symptoms—some that have endured for decades.
Above all, still hopeful!
